Cars galore!

Why are there so many cars? That is to say, why are there so many cars in people's yards? I drive to and from work each day and I can't help but notice the plethora of cars. Some are obviously old, run down and not in use. But then, that begs the question: why not get rid of them? What's the point in keeping useless cars in your yard? I really don't get it. Yard after yard has numerous cars in it. One place caught my attention the other day and I had to slow down for a closer look. There were 14 cars in the yard. Based on the tall weeds growing around most of them, it appeared that only 2 of them had been used recently. Useless cars are not my idea of a great way to decorate a yard. But that's just me...
