Driving home through the country tonight.
Darkness all around.
No street lights.
But lightning streaks the sky.
Then darkness once again fills the air.
It made me think of life.
At times, it feels like darkness.
You can't see too far in front of you.
You wonder if you're headed in the right direction.
You question your surroundings.
But as I read Psalm 119, I thought about lightning.
When all seem questionable.
When the path seems unclear.
When the darkness closes in.
"Your word is a lamp to my feet
And a light to my path." ~Psalm 119:105
Just like the lightning lit my path home tonight,
So too the word of God is a light for my path in life.
His word shows me the way.
He word reveals his will for me.
His word shines light in the darkness of life.
Lightning is beautiful.
How much more beautiful and amazing is His light.
