Is no news good news?

On November 9th, I wrote a post about job transition. Since then, I've heard next to nothing about a new role for me. In the meantime, I keep plugging away at odds and ends that need to be wrapped up. And I frequently get asked what the status of my job is. The best I can do is say, "I don't know." Perhaps no news is good news. As of this moment, I still have a job and that is something to be thankful for. Will I still have a job next week? Only God knows at this point. Patience is not a virtue I possess much of but in situations like this, it's a virtue I think I'm supposed to be learning more about. It'll be a lifelong learning process, I'm sure.
